History

Pruhs Corporation was founded in 1958 by Mr. Don Pruhs in Fairbanks, Alaska and focused on general construction contracting. After Don's retirement, Mr. Dana Pruhs, a graduate of California Polytechnic State University, degreed in Civil/Transportation Engineering, became President of Pruhs Corporation. Dana established Pruhs Construction, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Pruhs Corporation, expanding through the purchase of paving equipment and an open gravel pit located in Wasilla, Alaska – Quality Sand & Gravel. Construction activities were expanded to other areas of civil and telecommunication construction, including road construction, airport runway construction/repaving, underground water and sewer utility projects, subdivision development, commercial facility site development, fiber optic installation, and directional drilling and boring. Pruhs Construction has offices in Anchorage and Wasilla, Alaska.
